Abu
Mussab
al-Zarqawi
is
considered
to be
an
important
link
between
Iraq
and
the Al
Qaeda
terrorist
organization.
A
Jordanian
of
Palestinian
ancestry,
Zarqawi
is
believed
to
have
set up
a
terrorist
cell
in
Baghdad
and to
be
affiliated
with
Ansar
al-Islam,
a
small
militant
group
in
northern
Iraq
that
has
ties
to Al
Qaeda.
Al-Zarqawi's
group
is
known
as Al
Tawhid,
described
as an
"affiliate"
of Al
Qaeda.
Identified
as one
of Al
Qaeda's
top
chemical
weapons
experts,
al-Zarqawi
has
also
been
linked
to Al
Qaeda
cells
discovered
in
England.
The
English
cells
appeared
to be
manufacturing
ricin,
a
deadly
poison
used
as a
biochemical
reagent.
